The story of Dharte begins in 1941. While the world has changed immeasurably since then, our roots remain firm; we still operate from the very same office where it all started over eighty years ago.
The Vision
The Insight we Follow
In 1989, Prakash Thadani established a retreat on Madh Island named Dharti — a Sanskrit word meaning Earth. It was created as a sanctuary for peace and sustainability, offering a necessary escape from the pace of Mumbai.
As the internet arrived, Prakash saw an opportunity to scale this vision. He began sharing data-driven insights on natural healing, sustainability, and spiritual growth. What started as a personal newsletter for friends soon became a widely recognised blueprint for conscious living.
The Evolution
The Changes we need
Following Prakash's passing, his son, Tarun, rebooted the mission in 2021. Rebranded as Dharte, the company was trademarked and transformed into a modern provider of wellness and sustainable products.
By 2026, the business evolved into its current architecture: Dharte LLP. Under this single umbrella, we transitioned to a global membership model, focused on training a network of promoters to champion a more sustainable way of life across the world.
