Another solution gaining traction is Relove, a technology-backed system that enables brands to run their thrift shops and provides buyers with the authentic history of garments. This promotes the resale and extension of the lifespan of clothing, significantly reducing carbon emissions. Relove has partnered with multiple brands and is contributing to the growing acceptance of secondhand clothing culture in India.


However, a challenge in the circular fashion economy is the pricing of sustainable fashion. Sustainable brands often have higher prices compared to fast fashion, limiting their accessibility to a larger consumer base. It is important to recognize that these higher prices reflect the true cost of slow production and sustainable practices, which are better for both the producers and the planet. Efforts are being made to strike a balance between affordability and sustainability.
